Sunderland Culture is seeking to appoint a Head of Learning and Participation to play a key leadership role in the development and delivery of its creative learning, participation and engagement programmes.

The Head of Learning and Participation will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of Sunderland Culture’s creative learning and participation programmes.


Working as part of Sunderland Culture’s Senior Management Team, and alongside colleagues from its partner venues, the postholder will help ensure Sunderland Culture delivers inclusive, impactful and high-quality cultural participation opportunities for communities across the city.


You will lead a number of key strategic projects and programmes, working closely with Learning and Participation teams across Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens, Arts Centre Washington, National Glass Centre and NGCA. You will work to maintain and build strong relationships with Sunderland Culture’s educational, health, community and creative partners.


This exciting new role will play a key role in helping Sunderland Culture to deliver its ambition to improve life for everyone in Sunderland through culture.
