Britain’s creative industries are worth £92 billion, employ two million people and are growing twice as fast as the rest of the economy. The Fine Art course at the University of Sunderland aims to build the skills to join this growing industry.
The university’s Fine Art team, all working artists, have a wealth of professional practice and subject expertise to help students realise their aspirations. Guided by these experts, students have the freedom to explore creative interests across a broad range of Fine Art practice including painting, printmaking, digital photography, film, sound, drawing, sculpture and performance.
Working collaboratively, students learn to see the bigger picture and develop highly adaptable skills alongside technical abilities. Throughout the course, students work towards live outcomes, building confidence as artists and understanding the impact an artist can have in society.
