Stellar Projects produces large-scale creative projects and imaginative events. From light installations and parades to festivals and carnivals, the organisation brings people together in celebration to share those ‘you just had to be there’ moments.

Stellar Projects was established in 2016 by its current directors, Rachel Willis and Lyndsey Stephenson. Based in the Tees Valley, the organisation has over 40 years’ combined experience of producing high-quality cultural projects and events, specialising in outdoor arts.

Stellar Projects works in partnership with other cultural organisations, festivals and local authorities across the region to deliver projects which engage our local communities and artists, helping instil a sense of pride of place and bringing excellent, impactful and meaningful work to the very heart of Teesside.

The organisation is a founding member of the Tees Festivals Network, a consortium of individuals and organisations which work together to raise the profile of cultural festivals in the area and enhance the social and economic wellbeing of the Tees Valley through its collaborative and creative practice.

Annual festival events include Nightfall Light Festival at Stewart Park Middlesbrough and Make & Mend Festival At Ormesby Hall, Redcar.
