Middlesbrough Art Week, formerly Middlesbrough Art Weekender was born in 2017. It’s grown to become the largest annual contemporary arts festival in the North East, an event that champions Middlesbrough’s heritage and industrial past, transforming the town centre into a creative hub. Middlesbrough is the creative gem of the North East, and MAW shouts about this with a town takeover every year. MAW is delivered by The Auxiliary Project Space.
