Hexham Photography Group

Northumberland

Hexham Photography Group is a Tynedale-based community of photographers founded in 1989 to provide something different from the existing Camera Clubs at the time.

The group’s aim is to be non-competitive and to attract members, speakers, workshops and events that are most likely to contribute to a greater understanding of the medium of photography.

Initially focussed on fine art silver gelatin printing, the group now also embraces digital, alternative and mixed media approaches to the making and use of photographic imagery.

A year’s membership is £35. Visitors are welcome at talks, for which the entrance fee is £5.
