Situated beside Tweed Dock, where the river meets the sea, Dockside Gallery is over the bridge on Berwick-upon-Tweed’s famous Lowry Trail. Much like the the daily activity of a busy working harbour and Northumberland’s coastal landscape, Dockside Gallery’s exhibitions change regularly. The gallery walls continuously transform with artworks from regular and new artists to create a different experience on every visit. All artists are hand chosen from across the UK and abroad for the quality and originality of their work, offering all visitors a rare treat for the senses — a fascinating mix of colour, texture and imagery.
Affordability is key and, supported by the ‘Own Art’ purchase scheme, the gallery’s aim is to exhibit artists and makers works that are exciting, collectable and available to all.
