Berwick Museum and Art Gallery is home to the Burrell Collection of fine and decorative art, one of the most generous civic donations to be made in Europe.

The Burrell Collection comprises over 300 works including oil paintings, watercolours, and drawings by masters including Degas, Boudin and Daubigny as well as locally-grown talents from Northumberland’s very own Joseph Crawhall.

The eclectic collection includes objects as varied as medieval finds from Berwick’s past, L.S Lowry’s beach scene, Grace Darling’s weathervane, a Salmon fishing fording box with accompanying coble, a working telephone exchange as well as Samurai armour.
