Albion Row Studios is an artist led studio housing 14 practising artists in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. We house a diverse range of artists, we care about the conditions needed to build a strong working artist community.

Albion Row Studios came about through a desire to provide good sized, affordable and long term artist studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are focused on the artist and conditions which build strong and lasting creative communities. The project was founded in July 2022 by Hannah Christy, Sabina Sallis and Maya Wallis and the space was collectively built and divided into 14 individual studio spaces by our current Studio Holders in January 2023. We aim to focus on supporting artists in their professional development by offering comfortable working spaces and by generating a creative environment that champions the collective.
