This collection of still lives and landscapes draw from the everyday and the world around Sally Anne’s Norfolk studio.
Sally Anne Fitter is a painter with a background in textile design and ceramics. She graduated with a first-class degree from Bristol Art School. After a course in Textile Print and and a short time as a freelance textile designer, she set up her own textile design studio, Digby Morton Designs, in London. The studio worked with Liberty, Monsoon, Laura Ashley, Calvin Klein, Nicole Farhi and Cerrutti, among others. Its designs were characteristically experimental and painterly and became sought after with clients in Japan, New York and Paris and London.
After relocating to North Norfolk, Sally Anne’s natural move to painting began. She now works from her North Norfolk home creating vibrant florals, still lifes and landscapes. Pattern, colour and texture all play a large part in her paintings, and she focuses on floral paintings, seascapes of the North Norfolk coast on my doorstep, inspired by its expansive skies and unique marram grass-covered dunes. She has recently worked with Aquarelle Publishing who now produce a range of limited edition prints of her paintings.
