The Masham

An exhibition exploring the rich history of public houses in Middlesbrough district St Hilda’s, drawing on research carried out by p.a.morbid and Sharon Goodman with support from Teesside Archives.

The research has been used to create a new map of the area of St Hilda’s, featuring the locations of many well-known watering holes.

A limited-edition artist print of the map, produced with local artist Will Hughes, is available part of the exhibition. Visitors are invited to get hands on and print their own copy on Saturdays 9, 16 and 23 March between 1 – 3pm.

This project is part of Navigator North’s Make It More Middlesbrough programme, funded through Historic England with Know Your Neighbourhood funding.
