No More Nowt

Work by artists Sheida Shekarian and Kotryna Abromaitytė exhibited as part of Owtside, No More Nowt's outside micro-gallery.

Owtside is No More Nowt‘s public micro-gallery, installed outside on the exterior of Community House, its base in Peterlee, set right in the middle of a residential working-class neighbourhood.

Sheida Shekarian was born and raised in Iran and now based in Toronto. An illustrator with a passion for expressing the human experience through humour and narrative-based visuals, and drawing on nostalgia, Shekarian has worked as a campaign photoshoot producer, graphic designer and illustrator — and despite their deep interest for all creative fields, they always found themself drawn back to the world of illustration. For Owtside 2, Shekarian is showing a work entitled $I.20 A POUND.

Kotryna Abromaitytė was born in Lithuania and studied illustration at Brighton University before working as a designer at the National Library of Lithuania for two years. Their work This Is A Fairytale We Are Still Working On is showing as part of Owtside 2 — itself part of a wider project which ‘investigates how stories, ideas, and beliefs change the way we experience our individual realities’.
