Museum Socials: Solargraphy pinhole camera workshop

10.30am – 12.30pm

Laing Art Gallery

Learn how to make a pinhole camera with just a beer can, photographic paper and gaffer tape! No previous experience necessary.

Solargraphy is the art of long exposure that captures the image of the sun moving across the sky. These exposures can last for days, months, even years!

The session also includes an informal tour of the Turner: Art, Industry & Nostalgia exhibition.

Museum Socials is part of Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums warm welcome and social perscribing offer. Socialising and connecting with others is important. Going to a museum and meeting new people can make you feel happier and healthier. It can also improve your mental health and wellbeing
