Everyday Algorithms

Preview 21 February, 5 – 8pm

The NewBridge Project

'Everyday Algorithms' is an exhibition exploring how we interact with algorithms in our daily lives.

Everyday Algorithms includes textiles, choreography, poetry, sound and video by Joana Chicau, Paul Dolan, Dave Griffiths, Mara Karagianni, Alex McLean, Winnie Soon and Paola Torres Nuñez Del Prado.

The exhibition highlights the active role humans play in creating code, designing algorithms and data structures. Focusing on under-recognised narratives within this field, the artworks show how algorithms can be used to support human needs, for care community, safety, and autonomy.

Everyday Algorithms has been developed by artist Shelly Knotts with The NewBridge Project’s Programme Committee: Holly Argent, Ellie Armon Azoulay, Dan Goodman, Kaan K, Shelly Knotts, and Seymour Mace.
