Education in Crisis: Practice

6 – 8pm

Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

The first in a series of Baltic x Northumbria University talks focuses on a screening of a short participatory action film exploring the essential aspects of creative education.

The film explores and demonstrates the essential aspects of creative education in the development of young people’s imaginative futures.

This event is part of Baltic and Northumbria University’s ongoing inquiry into the decimation of art teaching in primary and secondary education. The film was made with Dr Judy Thomas (now Teesside University) and Florence Darling (now Gateshead Council) with young people at Baltic and Northumbria University.

The screening will be followed by an informal discussion with other invited guests and audience members.
