Cuttings: workshop

6.30 – 8.30pm

The NewBridge Project

Cuttings: Ceremonies of Trans Grief

An invitation to create a living altar in The NewBridge Project's gallery with poet, drag king and committee member Kaan K and gardener-facilitator Leo Hargreaves.

This is the first in a series of events for collective grieving organised by poet, drag king and organiser Kaan K and gardener and facilitator Leo Hargreaves.

Participants will build the altar together. You are invited to bring your own houseplant or select one from our collection, or bring along a photograph, object, symbol or memory that represents someone or something you are grieving. All grief is welcome — whether grief of a death, grief for what could have been, grief for relationships lost. There will be activities that invite reflection, remembering and sharing, though there is no obligation to participate or share anything beyond what makes you feel comfortable.
