But what will come of it?

Fri – Sat, 10am – 4pm and by appointment

Preview 15 June, 1 – 3pm

An exhibition of work by Jade Sweeting and Jane Millican.

Jade Sweeting explores found imagery and objects central to her identity. Her ongoing research into motorcycle culture, centring on the ‘Chopper Scene,’ refines and re-presents found and recycled imagery via analogue printmaking techniques to create images that act as visual studies. The series of acetone transfers in this exhibition flirts with the idea of drawing and duration through collaged images, with alternate narratives hinted at through fragments of form.

Jane Millican is interested in the visual noise and drama of expressionist painting, and in the tradition of connoisseurship which attempts to identify an individual artist within the material details in the surface of a work. Millican’s drawings slowly explore a painted surface, directing time and energy towards the essentially mute act of looking.
