Back to the Mud

12 – 3.30pm

Newcastle Arts Centre

A chance for self-employed creatives in Newcastle upon Tyne to join artist Sean Alec Auld for a three-hour workshop about the foundations of his artistic practice, reimagining our connection with both nature and narrative.

Sean Alec Auld shares his insights into the way he approaches working with stories. Exploring the profound connection between myth and story, the workshop examines the intricate ways of weaving these elements into participants’ own personal practices in an embodied way.

Participants will also explore the beauty of working with natural materials, through immersing ourselves in the hands-on experience of crafting a dorodango, a meditative and beautiful artform with its origins in Japan.

N.B. This workshop is only open to self-employed creatives living or working in Newcastle upon Tyne

67 Westgate Road Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1SG
