Artist Networking Meeting Six: ‘It Takes a Village’

9.45am – 12.30pm

Navigator North

Join Middlesbrough's Brotherhood of Motherhood to explore artist practices and the mutually supportive strategies artist caregivers employ.

What mechanisms of support do we use, need or wish for? How have different artists supported one another, or found external support, particularly if they have additional barriers, whether socioeconomic, health-related, single parenting or primary caregiver roles.

This meeting explores ideas of group-led non-monetary approaches to care and how a group such as Brotherhood of Motherhood has created a support network for not just artistic practice but the rigours of caregiving.

There will be some on-site support in the meeting for dependants.

The meeting will be recorded and posted on the MOTHEROTHER website.

Please note that MOTHEROTHER may need to contact you about supporting your needs. The organisation is working to improve inclusion and appreciates everyone’s needs are different. If your particular needs can’t be supported at this time, MOTHEROTHER will endeavour to address this for future sessions.
