Art + Social is an opportunity to meet and chat with the Tees Valley’s creative community about their latest projects. Refreshments served while they last, followed by paid bar.

A Man Called Adam DJ set
Electronic music originators A Man Called Adam (Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones) return to Art + Social with an eclectic mix of new music and tracks from their extensive back catalogue. Earlier this year, they released The Girl With A Hole In Her Heart, an album about Teesside and the wild coastal and industrial landscapes where Sally grew up.

MIMAZINA Launch
MIMAZINA is made with artists Foundation Press with contributions from a range of artists and constituents. Available from 26 October online and in-print, our next issue features exclusive content relating to MIMA’s People Powered: Stories from the River Tees exhibition. Pick up a free copy to take away on the night.

Pie & Peas Pop Up by Barefoot Kitchen
At this special Pop Up in the MIMA Kitchen, Barefoot serves her mouth-watering Bransdale Beef and Potato and Cheddar Pies (GF) with a side of locally grown mushy peas. People Powered Poetry
Poets Sara Dennis, Audrey Cook and special guests perform new work produced in response to Middlesbrough Collection works on display in MIMA’s People Powered: Stories from the River Tees exhibition. Part of a three-year programme of commissions and performances with Tees Women Poets (TWP) which support the development of members. TWP is an intersectional, trans-inclusive feminist organisation which aims to create change for and by women of all ages in the Tees Valley.

Teesside Archives Roadshow
Come and get hands on with materials from Teesside Archives, share your own stories, objects and memorabilia about public art in Teesside. This drop-in activity is organised with Teesside Archives and is part of a PhD project led by Karis Richardson in the School of Arts & Creative Industries, Teesside University.
