Annette Chevallier: A Walk by the River

A series of paintings using abstract shapes in mixed media and collage to describe the rhythm and movement of the river, and both the urban and natural landscape through which it passes.

Painter Annette Chevallier has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and was a member of the Newcastle Group. Her work has been used for both poetry and jazz events. She has had two major public art commissions; 60 hand painted banners celebrating the Millennium Festival in Tynemouth, and 10 banners called Reflections of a Garden at Broughton House, Gloucester.

Chevallier lives in Tynemouth and has a studio in North Shields. She has received a number of major awards both from Northern Arts and the British Council and has paintings in public and private collections.
