Working across painting, textiles, installation, and sculpture, she adapts the visual language of knitting and stitch structures into a variety of media. Her work is populated by playful animal figures, decorative motifs, and hand-rendered patterns that blur the boundaries between fine art and craft. Often functioning as surrogate self-portraits, these characters allow her to explore identity through a lens of playful anonymity, creating space between personal experience and representation. Through repetition, ornamentation, and tactile processes, she investigates sensory experience, embodiment, and our relationships with materials.
She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Newcastle University in 2021 and completed an MA in Visual Culture at Durham University in 2024. Her dissertation, Knitty Gritty: Exploring Knitting as a Holistic Approach to ADHD Management in Women, examined knitting as a tool for sensory regulation, creative expression, and community-building. This research continues to inform her practice, particularly her interest in repetition, embodied making, and the connections between creativity, neurodiversity, and wellbeing.
Through both research and artistic practice, she champions craft-based ways of knowing, celebrating curiosity, experimentation, and the transformative potential of creative making.
