Mike Collier is Professor of Visual Art at the University of Sunderland and is a writer, curator and artist. In recent years he has curated a series of major international shows including WALK ON: Forty years of Art Walking – From Richard Long to Janet Cardiff – an exhibition which opened in London and Sunderland and then toured to eight venues across the UK.

He is currently working on a long-term interdisciplinary project called ‘The Dawn Chorus: A More-Than-Human Culture’ with composer and Musician Dr Bennett Hogg, printmaker Alex Charrington and natural history sound recordist Geoff Sample.
