Hazel Brill works across video, sound, sculpture, puppetry, animation and animatronics, creating theatrical muti-media installations that attempt to animate the inanimate.

She graduated from her Fine Art Media MFA at Slade School of Fine Art in 2017 and is currently in second year of a funded PhD at Newcastle University.

Selected recent exhibitions include, Night Station, The London Open, Whitechapel Gallery, 2022; Greetings, Welcome to Paradise, Dusseldorf 2021;  Pup & Blubber, Block 336, London (solo), 2020; A Commitment, MIT online screening, Massachusetts (2020); Shonisaurus Popularis, Turf Projects, Croydon, 2018 and In Bardo, Figure 2, BALTIC 39, Newcastle, 2014. She was selected for a FLAMIN fellowship, 2019- 2020 and was selected for a survey exhibition by Jerwood that went on to tour Baltic, Gateshead and Bluecoat, Liverpool. In summer 2019, she also conducted a residency with Agorama at Raven Row, London.
