As an artist with a decade of experience, Ross draws upon her international encounters to investigate the intricate interplay between personal identity, cultural influences, feminine roles, memory, and the spaces we occupy.
Ross’ works, including her paintings and installations, are distinguishable by their utilisation of colour and shape, as well as the addition of a delicate layer of texture, which she applies with her own hands. This intimate touch imbues her creations with a sense of personal history and emotion that enables viewers to form a deeper connection with her art. The tension between sharp lines and subtle textures within her pieces reflects the inconsistencies of memory, feelings, and thoughts.
In addition to her traditional media, she has experimented with other materials such as neon and fabric to create works that resonate with the public and respond to the spaces they occupy.
