Anna Chapman Parker is an artist and writer based in Northumberland. Her work is concerned with focused experiences of place, exploring how we record and report periods of looking within the increasingly mediated culture of the attention economy.

Anna uses a variety of materials and processes from ink drawing to digital media, often navigating uncertain relationships between drawing and text.

Recent exhibitions include Imprints curated by the University of Glasgow’s New Modernist Editing project, and a co-commission by Edinburgh College of Art for Edinburgh Art Festival. Her writing, often intercut with images, has appeared in Happy Hypocrite, MAP and Rake’s Progress. She is now completing her first book.
